Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest and most versatile fields of engineering specialization. From everyday IT devices to large structures, mechanical engineering supports all kinds of "manufacturing" and is a fundamental science that is widely necessary for industry, while at the same time being a cutting-edge science that opens up new frontiers in science and technology, such as regenerative medicine and IoT. The Department of Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to produce talented people who will master cutting-edge science and technology to support the "present" of industry and pave the way for the "future," and who will create the future of industry.

Learn a curriculum that can be applied to a wide range of science, technology and industrial fields
The Department of Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a curriculum that is applicable to a wide range of scientific and technological fields and industrial fields, such as aeronautics and astronautics, robotics, basic control engineering, internal combustion engines, and automotive engineering, based on the so-called "four forces" of fluid mechanics, material mechanics, thermodynamics, and machine mechanics.

Learn the development process through practice
Project-based learning subjects are offered from the first year onwards.
We train engineers who have solid skills and knowledge and can meet the needs of society. We also have a "Research Promotion Class" that cultivates research, development and design capabilities.
It is possible to reach a high level through integrated undergraduate and graduate school and advanced learning.

High social demand from a wide range of fields
Just as there is not a day that goes by without contact with machines in daily life, there is no company that does not require machines. We have a track record of finding employment not only in manufacturing but also in a wide range of industrial sectors. In addition to finding employment, many students choose to continue on to graduate school. In graduate school, students acquire more specialized knowledge and produce many students who become highly specialized engineers and researchers.

Advanced education through six-year integrated education
In light of this current situation, the Department will establish a six-year integrated education "Research Promotion Class" in 2022, aiming to provide more practical education and assuming progression to graduate school. In order to accelerate the learning of students who dream of research and development, the "Research Promotion Class" will provide education that links to research and development positions at major companies through a special curriculum that allows students to study most of their specialized subjects in high-level, small-group classes (fewer than 20 students).
