Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The University aims to educate and research specialized academic subjects, to develop professional personnel who have acquired deep knowledge and practical application skills, are able to realize intellectual and technological creations from an international perspective in response to the needs of the times, and who are endowed with solid human qualities and who are constantly striving to improve themselves, thereby contributing to the development of society and promoting academic and cultural advancement.
Article 2 (Self-evaluation, etc.)
In order to achieve the objectives set forth in the preceding article, the University will self-inspect and evaluate the status of its educational and research activities, etc. Matters relating to the inspection and evaluation set forth in the preceding paragraph will be determined separately.

Article 3-2 (Educational and research objectives)
- The Faculty of Engineering aims to cultivate engineers who are always striving to improve themselves, who are mindful of the global environment, and who can practice manufacturing through broad-based collaboration based on a foundation of specialized technology and human capabilities.
- The Faculty of Robotics and Design aims to cultivate professionals who can utilize engineering knowledge and technology from a human-centered perspective and contribute to the formation and development of a sustainable and prosperous society.
- The Faculty of Information Science and Technology aims to cultivate sound engineers and professionals who have knowledge and skills related to information and communications, and who, with a broad perspective and ethical standards, will contribute to the informationization of society and industrial activity and its development.
- The Faculty of Intellectual Property aims to train professionals who, with sound humanity, intellectual ability and an international sensibility, can play an active role in the industrial society of the 21st century and contribute to promoting the protection and utilization of intellectual property.

Article 5 (Graduate School)
- This university will have a graduate school.
- The graduate school regulations govern the course of study.
Article 6 (Staff Organization)
- The University shall have a President, Deans, Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professor, Research Associate, Assistants, Research Staff and Administrative Staff.
- The University may appoint Vice Presidents as necessary.
- In addition to the two preceding paragraphs, the University shall have a Dean of Academic Affairs, a Dean of Student Affairs, a Director of the Library, a Director of the Information Center, a Secretary-General, a Director of the Admissions Department, a Director of Career Support Department, and any other necessary staff members.
Article 7 (Duties of each employee)
- The President shall oversee academic affairs and supervise all affiliated staff.
- The Vice President shall assist the President and, under the President's orders, be in charge of important matters relating to the University's affairs.
- The Deans shall assist the President and, under his orders, carry out the academic administration of the University, handle the affairs of each faculty, and supervise the educational staff belonging to each faculty.
- A professor is a person who has particularly outstanding knowledge, ability, and achievements in the field of education, research, or practice, and who teaches students, guides their research, or engages in research.
- An Associate Professor is a person who has outstanding knowledge, ability and achievements in the field of education, research or practice, and who teaches students, guides their research, or engages in research.
- Assistant Professor perform duties equivalent to those of professors or associate professors.
- An Research Associate is a person who has educational, research, or practical knowledge and ability in his/her field of specialization, and who teaches students, supervises their research, or engages in research.
- Assistants will be engaged in tasks necessary for the smooth implementation of education and research in the organization to which they belong.
- Research staff assist professors, associate professors, or Assistant Professor in their duties or engage in research under their guidance.
- The administrative staff will be responsible for the management and administration of the University, as well as providing academic guidance and welfare support to students.
- The duties of the personnel referred to in paragraph 3 of the preceding article shall be prescribed in the regulations concerning the organizational structure.
Article 8 (University and Graduate School Management Committee)
- The University shall establish a University and Graduate School Management Committee.
- The University and Graduate School Management Committee is composed of the President, Vice Presidents, Deans of Graduate Schools, Deans of Faculties, Director of Academic Affairs, Director of Student Affairs, Director of the Library, Director of the Information Center, Secretary General, Director of Admissions, Director of Career Support, Director of the International Center, and Director of the Education Center, and deliberates on important matters at the University.
- Other necessary matters concerning the University/Graduate School Management Committee shall be set forth in the University/Graduate School Management Committee Regulations.
Article 9 (Faculty Council)
- Each faculty of the University shall have a faculty council.
- The Faculty Council shall be composed of the Dean and professors of the relevant faculty, and shall express its opinions when the President makes decisions on the matters listed below.
- Student admission and graduation
- Matters related to the awarding of degrees
- In addition to the matters listed in the previous two paragraphs, any important matter related to education and research that the President determines is necessary for the opinion of the Faculty Council.
- In addition to the matters provided for in the preceding paragraph, the Faculty Council may deliberate on matters relating to education and research under the jurisdiction of the President and may express opinions upon request of the President, etc.
- Other necessary matters concerning the Faculty Council of each faculty shall be determined in the Faculty Council Regulations of each faculty.
Article 10 (Committee)
- The University shall have the following committees to deliberate on important matters relating to the University.
- The Self-Evaluation/IR Committee will deliberate matters relating to self-inspection/evaluation, external evaluation, third-party evaluation by accreditation agencies, and internal quality assurance.
- The Faculty of Faculty of Engineering Faculty Selection Committee deliberates matters related to the qualification examination for the hiring and promotion of faculty members in the Faculty of Faculty of Engineering, as well as training.
- The Faculty Selection Committee for the Faculty of Robotics and Design will deliberate on matters related to the qualifications and training for the hiring and promotion of faculty members in the Department of Faculty of Robotics and Design.
- The Faculty of Information Science and Technology Faculty Selection Committee deliberates matters related to the qualification examination and training for the hiring and promotion of faculty members in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology.
- The Faculty Selection Committee for the Faculty of Intellectual Property shall deliberate matters relating to the qualification examination and training for the hiring and promotion of faculty members of the Faculty of Intellectual Property.
- The Admissions Committee will, in response to inquiries from the President, deliberate on the planning and coordination of student selection for each faculty and other important matters.
- The Academic Affairs Committee will deliberate on important matters related to academic affairs in response to inquiries from the President and coordinate liaison between the faculties.
- The Teacher Training Committee will deliberate on important matters related to teacher training courses and coordinate liaison between faculties in response to inquiries from the President.
- The Student Affairs Committee will, in response to consultations from the President, deliberate on important matters such as student welfare, awards, disciplinary action, and other matters of importance, and will also coordinate liaison between the various faculties.
- The Career Support Committee will deliberate important matters related to employment and career education in response to inquiries from the President, and coordinate liaison between faculties.
- The Library Management Committee shall deliberate on matters necessary for the management of the Library in response to inquiries from the President.
- The Human Rights Violation Prevention Committee shall deliberate matters necessary for the prevention of human rights violations at the University.
- The FD Committee will deliberate on matters related to organizational training and research in order to improve the content and methods of classes at the University.
- The Personal Information Protection Committee will deliberate on matters necessary for the protection of personal information at the University.
- The Faculty Activity Evaluation Committee will deliberate matters related to the evaluation of faculty activities at the University.
- The Research Support and Social Collaboration Promotion Committee will deliberate matters related to the business plans for research support and social collaboration projects.
- The Diversity Promotion Committee will deliberate on matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University.
- Other necessary matters concerning the committees shall be set forth in the regulations of each committee.

Chapter 3 Academic Years, Term and Holidays
Article 11 (Academic Year)
The academic year begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st of the following year.
Article 12 (Semester)
- The school year is divided into two terms:
- First period: April 1st to September 30th
- Second Term: October 1st to March 31st of the following year
- If necessary, the President may change the end date of the first semester and the beginning date of the second semester set forth in the preceding paragraph.
- Each semester as provided for in paragraph 1 may be divided into a first half and a second half.
Article 13 (Holidays)
- Holidays are as follows. However, classes may be held on these days.
- Sundays and holidays specified by the National Holidays Act
- Our school's founding anniversary October 30th
- Spring holidays: March 21st to March 31st
- Summer holidays: August 1st to September 14th
- Winter holidays: December 25th to January 7th of the following year
- If necessary, the President may temporarily change the holidays set forth in the preceding paragraph.
- In addition to those days set out in paragraph 1, the President may designate temporary school holidays.
Chapter 4: Duration of study and years of study
Article 14 (Term of Study)
The duration of study is four years.
Article 15 (Limits on number of years of study)
The length of study cannot exceed eight years.
Chapter 5 Admission
Article 16 (Enrollment Period)
- Enrolment shall be at the beginning of the academic year.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the President may admit students in the middle of the academic year in accordance with the semester divisions stipulated in Article 12. In such case, the academic year shall commence on October 1st and end on September 30th of the following year, notwithstanding Article 11.
Article 17 (Enrollment Qualifications)
Those eligible to enter the University must meet any of the following criteria:
- Graduated from high school or secondary school
- Those who have completed 12 years of regular school education (including those who have completed an equivalent school education through a course other than the regular course)
- Those specified in Article 150 of the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act
Article 18 (Transfer)
- If a student wishes to transfer to our university, they will be selected and, in principle, allowed to transfer in the third year.
- Those eligible for transfer admission must fall under any of the following categories.
- University graduates
- Those who have been awarded a bachelor's degree by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Assurance (NIQA).
- Those who have been enrolled in a university for two or more years and dropped out after acquiring the required number of credits.
- Graduates of a junior college, a technical college, a national technical teacher training institute, or a national school nurse training institute
- Those who have completed or graduated from a course of study at a high school, vocational school, teacher training school, etc., as stipulated in Article 92-3 of the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act.
- Those who have completed a specialized course at a vocational school (limited to those that meet the standards set by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and have a course period of two years or more).
- Those who have completed a specialized course at a high school (limited to those that meet the requirements of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, including those that require a minimum of two years of study).
- Those who have completed 14 years of school education abroad
- Those who have reached the age of 20 and are deemed to have academic ability equal to or greater than those listed above through an individual entrance qualifications examination by the University.
- Other transfer admissions are stipulated in the transfer admission regulations.
Article 18-2 (Transfer)
- When an individual applies to transfer to the University, he/she may be permitted to do so after a selection process.
- Those eligible for transfer admission must be enrolled in a university.
- Other matters relating to transfers shall be stipulated in the transfer regulations.
Article 19 (Application Procedures)
Applicants for admission to the University must submit an application form, along with the required entrance examination fee and documents specified separately.
Article 20 (Selection of Students)
The selection of students to be admitted is carried out by the President, in consultation with the Faculty Council.
Article 21 (Admission Procedures and Admission)
- Those who pass the selection process set forth in the previous article must pay the tuition fees (separately specified) and complete the prescribed procedures by the specified deadline.
- The President shall grant admission to those who have completed the admission procedures set forth in the preceding paragraph.
- Those admitted under the preceding paragraph must attend the entrance ceremony and take the entrance oath.
Article 22 (Guarantor)
- The guarantor must be an adult who is independent and able to support himself/herself, and must be a parent or a surrogate relative.
- The guarantor shall be responsible for the student's commitment.
- If a guarantor loses his/her status due to death or other reasons, a new guarantor must be appointed and notified.
Chapter 6: Curriculum and Course Registration
Article 23 (Courses and Collaborative Courses)
- For the Faculty of Engineering, each course will be divided into the following categories: career development fundamentals, engineering fundamentals, specialized subjects, mathematical sciences and education, and other linked subjects, and these will be allocated and organized over the four years.
- For the Faculty of Robotics and Design, each course is divided into general liberal arts subjects, engineering-related subjects, other collaborative subjects, interdisciplinary subjects, and specialized subjects, and these are allocated and organized over the four years.
- For the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, each course will be divided into general subjects, career subjects, specialized subjects, and optional subjects, and these will be allocated and organized over the four years. Note that optional subjects are stipulated in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology Registration Regulations.
- In the Faculty of Intellectual Property, each course will be divided into introductory areas, liberal arts areas, specialized areas, development areas and other linked areas, and these will be allocated and organized over a four-year period.
- In addition to the four preceding paragraphs, whenever it is deemed educationally beneficial, courses offered in collaboration with the University by other universities established by the University's founder (hereinafter referred to as "collaborative courses") may be deemed to have been established by the University itself and may be organized by each faculty.
- Course subjects consist of compulsory subjects, elective compulsory subjects and elective subjects.
Article 23-2 (Class Method)
- Classes will be conducted in the form of lectures, seminars, experiments, practical training or skill training, or a combination of these.
- The lessons referred to in the preceding paragraph may be taken in locations other than the classrooms where the lessons are held, making advanced use of a variety of media.
- The courses prescribed in paragraph 1 may be taken abroad.
- Some of the lessons referred to in paragraph 1 may be held at locations other than the school buildings and affiliated facilities.
Article 24 (Courses and Credits)
- The courses and number of credits for each department are set out in Appendix 1 .
- In determining the number of credits in the preceding paragraph, the standard shall be that one credit subject shall consist of content requiring 45 hours of study. Depending on the teaching method prescribed in the preceding Article 1, and taking into consideration the educational effectiveness of the class and the necessary study outside of class hours, the number of credits shall be as follows, ranging from approximately 15 to 45 hours.
For lectures and seminars, 1 unit will be calculated per 15 to 30 class hours.
For experiments and practical training, 30 to 45 class hours will count as one credit.
Notwithstanding the two preceding paragraphs, for courses that combine lectures and exercises with experiments and/or practical training, one unit will be calculated based on the number of class hours determined by the University, ranging from 15 to 45 hours depending on the combination.
Article 25 (Credits required for graduation)
The credits required for graduation are as follows:

Article 26 (Method and Restrictions on Course Registration)
The method of and restrictions on course enrollment will be determined by the course enrollment regulations of each faculty.
Article 26-2 (Enrollment in Graduate School Courses)
- If it is educationally beneficial and does not interfere with the studies in the faculty or department to which the student belongs, the dean of the faculty may allow the student who advances to this graduate school to take courses designated in advance by the dean of the graduate school to which the student advances.
- Matters necessary for the preceding paragraph shall be stipulated in the Osaka Institute of Technology Institute of Technology Graduate School Course Pre-registration Regulations.
Chapter 7 Award of Credits
Article 27 (Awarding of Credits)
Students who complete courses and pass exams or other evaluation methods will be awarded the designated credits.
Article 27-2 (Credit Approval for Collaborative Subjects)
Credits earned by students through collaborative courses taken at other universities may be considered as credits earned through courses taken at this university.
Article 28 (Taking courses at other universities and learning and credit recognition at educational facilities other than universities)
- If it is deemed educationally beneficial, and based on discussions with other universities (including overseas universities), the university may allow students to take courses at those universities.
- When study at a junior college or a specialized course at a college of technology, or other study specified separately by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (as specified in the Ministry of Education Notification No. 68 of 1991), is deemed to be of educational benefit, it may be considered as completion of courses at this university.
- With regard to the preceding paragraph, any other studies specified separately by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology shall be prescribed in the Regulations for Handling Credit Approval for Studies at Educational Facilities Other Than Universities as specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
- The Dean, after hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council, may consider the credits earned under the preceding three paragraphs to be credits earned at the University up to a maximum of 30 credits.
Article 29 (Recognition of credits acquired prior to enrollment)
- When deemed educationally beneficial, credits acquired by new first-year students at a university or junior college prior to enrollment at the University (including credits acquired as non-degree students) may be recognized in accordance with the University's regulations for the recognition of credits previously acquired prior to enrollment, up to a maximum of 30 credits.
- When deemed educationally beneficial, credits acquired by transfer students at a university or junior college prior to their enrollment at the University (including credits acquired as a non-degree student) may be recognized in accordance with the University's regulations for the recognition of credits previously acquired prior to enrollment, up to a maximum of 62 credits.
- When deemed educationally beneficial, the University may accredit other studies as specified in Article 2, Paragraph 2, conducted by a student before enrolling in the University, in accordance with the credit accreditation regulations for studies at educational facilities other than a university, as specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Article 30 (Evaluation of grades)
- Grades will be graded using the following scale: S, A, B, C, F, *, G, with S, A, B, C, G being passing grades and F and * being failing grades.
- Grading for courses will be determined in accordance with the teaching methods, content, annual schedule, and grading standards that will be clearly explained to students in advance.
Chapter 8 Graduation and Degree Awarding
Article 31 (Graduation)
- For the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Robotics and Design, and Faculty of Information Science and Technology, the President shall permit graduation to those who have acquired the credits specified in Article 25 and passed the graduation research exam, after hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council.
- For the Faculty of Intellectual Property, those who have acquired the credits stipulated in Article 25 and passed the achievement confirmation test and graduation research shall be permitted to graduate by the President after hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the case of a student in his/her third year of the Faculty of Intellectual Property who wishes to proceed to the Graduate School of Intellectual Property of this University, who meets the graduation requirements set by the Faculty and is recognized as having achieved excellent academic performance, the President may, upon recommendation by the Faculty Dean and hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council, shorten the period of study to three years and allow the student to graduate.
- Of the 124 credits that must be acquired as a graduation requirement pursuant to the provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2, the number of credits acquired through the course of study pursuant to Article 23-2, Paragraph 2 shall not exceed 60 credits.
- Of the 124 credits that must be acquired as a requirement for graduation pursuant to the provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2, the number of credits that will be deemed to have been acquired pursuant to Article 27-2 shall not exceed 30 credits.
Article 32 (Conferment of Degrees)
- Those who graduate from this university will be awarded a bachelor's degree.
- Other matters concerning the awarding of degrees shall be stipulated in the Degree Regulations.
Chapter 9: Leave of Absence, Withdrawal, Expulsion, Reinstatement, Re-Enrollment, Transfer to Other Departments, etc.
Article 33 (Leave of Absence)
If a student is unable to continue studying for an extended period of time due to illness or other unavoidable reasons, he/she may take a leave of absence by submitting a prescribed application to the Dean.
Article 34 (Leave of Absence Order)
If a student is deemed ill or otherwise unfit to study, the Dean of the faculty may order him/her to take a leave of absence.
Article 35 (Period of Leave of Absence)
In principle, the period of leave of absence shall be until the end of the relevant term or year. However, if the Dean of the Faculty recognizes that there is a special reason, he/she may be permitted to continue the leave of absence within the limits set forth in the following article.
Article 36 (Restrictions on Period of Leave of Absence)
- In principle, the period of leave of absence cannot exceed two consecutive years (four semesters).
- The total period of leave of absence cannot exceed four years (eight semesters).
- Periods of leave of absence will not be counted towards the number of years required to complete a course or the number of years enrolled.
Article 37 (Withdrawal)
If a student wishes to withdraw from the university due to illness or other unavoidable reasons, he/she must obtain permission from the president.
Article 38 (Expulsion)
Any person who falls under any of the following items will be expelled by the President.
- Those who do not pay tuition fees by the due date
- Students who are on a leave of absence and have not paid their registration fees by the due date
- Those who have exceeded the number of years of study as stipulated in Article 15
- Those who do not apply for reinstatement after the expiration of their leave of absence
- Those who are found to be enrolled in another university, junior college, or technical college (excluding those admitted as special students as defined in Article 51)
- Those confirmed dead
Article 39 (Reinstatement)
The reinstatement regulations for students on leave of absence shall be set forth in the reinstatement regulations.
Article 40 (Re-admission)
- If a student who has been expelled or dropped out applies for re-enrollment, the President may grant permission after hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council.
- Other matters regarding re-admission shall be stipulated in the re-admission regulations.
Article 41 (Transfer of Departments, etc.)
- When an individual wishes to transfer to another faculty or department, the President may grant permission after hearing the opinion of the faculty council of the faculty or department only if there are vacancies at the faculty or department to which the individual is applying.
- The Dean shall separately determine how credits already earned by students who have transferred to another faculty or department will be handled.
- Other matters concerning transfers of departments or majors shall be stipulated in the regulations for transfers of departments or majors.
Chapter 10 Rewards and Punishments
Article 42 (Awards)
- Students who have performed acts worthy of commendation may be presented with an award by the President after a discussion by the Student Affairs Committee.
- Other awards will be determined in the Student Awards Regulations.
Article 43 (Disciplinary Actions)
- Any person who violates the University rules or regulations, or who acts contrary to his or her duties as a student, will be disciplined by the President after a discussion by the Student Affairs Committee.
- Disciplinary measures will include reprimand, suspension and expulsion.
- Dismissal will be given to those who fall under any of the following items.
- Those who are deemed to have bad behavior and are not likely to improve
- Those who disrupt the order of the University or violate their duties as students
- Other disciplinary measures will be prescribed in the Student Disciplinary Regulations.
Chapter 11 Tuition
Article 44 (Tuition)
Tuition fees consist of admission fees, tuition fees, and educational enhancement fees, and the amounts are set out in Appendix 2-1 .
Article 45 (Payment of tuition fees, etc.)
- Tuition fees must be paid by the specified due date.
- The payment of tuition fees is set forth in the Tuition Payment Regulations.
- Tuition fees already paid will not be refunded, unless otherwise specified in the tuition fee payment regulations.
Article 46 (Tuition during leave of absence)
- Tuition fees for students on leave of absence will be waived from the semester following the semester in which the leave of absence was approved. However, students must still pay the registration fee as specified in Appendix 2-4 .
- Other matters relating to the treatment of tuition fees during a leave of absence will be stipulated in the Tuition Payment Regulations.
Chapter 12 Scholarship System
Article 47 (Scholarship System)
- Scholarships may be awarded to students who are recognized as having excellent academic performance and character, but who are having difficulty attending school due to financial or other reasons.
- Other scholarships are stipulated in the university's scholarship regulations.
Chapter 13 Educational Personnel License
Article 48 (Teacher's License)
- Based on the Educational Personnel Certification Act, subjects related to teaching and the teaching profession are provided for those who wish to obtain a teaching license.
- The types of teaching licenses and licensed subjects that can be obtained at this university are as shown in Appendix 3 .
- The courses and methods of obtaining credits required to obtain the license in the preceding paragraph shall be determined in accordance with the course regulations.
Chapter 14 Public Lectures
Article 49 (Public Lectures)
In order to enhance the education of citizens and contribute to the improvement of education and culture in the local community, public lectures may be held.
Chapter 15: Non-degree Students, Special Students, and Research Students
Article 50 (Non-degree Students)
- When an individual applies to take specific courses at the University, he/she may be admitted as a non-degree student only if it will not interfere with the education of the University.
- Those who complete the courses and pass the exams will be awarded the designated credits.
- Course fees are set forth in Appendix 2-2 .
- For students taking other courses, the regulations for students taking other courses are set out in the regulations for students taking other courses.
Article 51 (Special Course Students)
- If a student from another university wishes to take courses at our university, he/she may be admitted as a special student based on consultation with the other university (including a university abroad) provided that it does not interfere with the education of our university.
- Course fees are set forth in Appendix 2-2 .
- Other matters concerning special students are stipulated in the special student regulations.
Article 52 (Research Students)
- When someone wishes to study a specific specialized subject at the University, the President may, after hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council, admit the person as a research student, provided that this does not impede the University's education and research.
- Those eligible to apply as research students are university graduates or those recognized to have equivalent or higher academic ability.
- The research period will be six months or one year, but the period may be extended if there are special reasons.
- Research fees are set forth in Appendix 2-3 .
- Other matters concerning research students shall be stipulated in the Research Student Regulations.
Chapter 16 International Students and Returning Students
Article 53 (Foreign students)
- When a person of foreign nationality who has entered the country with permission to enter the country for the purpose of, in principle, enrolling at a university applies to the University, the President may, after special selection and hearing the opinion of the Faculty Council, grant him or her admission as a foreign student.
- Other matters concerning the admission of international students shall be stipulated in the Admission Regulations for International Students.
Article 54 (Returning Students)
- When a returning student applies to enroll in the University, the President may, after special selection and consultation with the Faculty Council, grant him or her admission as a returning student.
- The admission of other returning students is subject to the admission regulations for international students.
Chapter 17 Affiliated Research Institutes, etc.
Article 55 (Affiliated Research Institute, etc.)
The University shall have a library, information center, laboratory, research center and other affiliated facilities. Provisions concerning these shall be determined separately.
Chapter 18 Others
Article 56 (Implementing Rules)
Detailed rules necessary for the implementation of these school regulations will be determined separately.
Article 57 (Amendment or repeal of school regulations)
Any amendment or abolition to these school regulations will be made by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees after hearing the opinions of the Faculty Council and the University/Graduate School Management Committee, obtaining the approval of the President, and following a discussion by the Board of Directors.
Supplementary Provisions
- These school regulations shall come into effect on March 25, 1949.

These revised academic regulations shall come into effect on April 1, 2025.
(b) The courses offered to students entering the Faculty of Information Science and Technology before the 2024 academic year, the number of credits required for graduation, and teacher training courses will continue to be governed by previous rules.
The courses to be taken by students entering the Faculty of Faculty of Engineering before the 2024 academic year, the number of credits required for graduation, and the teacher training course shall be governed by previous rules, except as otherwise specified by the Dean. However, the "Basics of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering" course offered in the teacher training course (technology) of the Faculty of Engineering of Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering shall also apply to students entering in the 2023 and 2024 academic years.
Tuition fees for students enrolled in or before the 2019 academic year will remain in accordance with the previous rules.
The subjects to be taken by students entering the Department of Intellectual Property of Faculty of Intellectual Property Property before the 2024 academic year and the number of credits required for graduation will remain in accordance with previous rules. The Dean of the School of Intellectual Property may take necessary measures regarding the implementation of the subjects to be taken by these students.
(e) For students entering the Faculty of Faculty of Robotics and Design before the 2022 academic year, the teacher training program will continue to be conducted in accordance with the previous rules.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3, the Faculty of Engineering of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, and Department of Information Networking, Faculty of Information Science, will continue to exist until the students enrolled in such departments on March 31, 2019 are no longer enrolled in such departments.
The "Special Lectures A" and "Special Lectures B" of the Department of Information Systems and Department of Media Science will also apply to students enrolled in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology before 2023.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3, the Department of Network Design in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology shall continue to exist until those enrolled in said department on March 31, 2025 are no longer enrolled in said department.
The "Information Science Practical Exercise (International PBL) a" and "Information Science Practical Exercise (International PBL) b" courses will also be applicable to students enrolling in 2024.
The Department of Data Science"Value Creation Exercise A" and "Value Creation Exercise B" will also apply to students entering from 2023 onwards.
The evaluation of academic performance for students enrolled in or before 2024 will continue to be based on previous practices.
