Faculty of Engineering
Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering

In this department, the fourth-year graduation research project is divided into five research areas (Energy Science, Electrical Systems, Semiconductor Electronics, Communication Devices, and Systems Science). Each research area is a group of multiple laboratories, and understanding of related research fields is promoted through joint presentations and other activities. In this way, we aim to cultivate specialists with broad knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering.

Description

Professors, associate professors, and Assistant Professor each operate their own independent research laboratories. Furthermore, faculty members with similar research fields or areas collaborate in managing research programs, fostering an organic collaborative system between faculty and students. This not only advances research but also generates synergistic effects among individuals.

Super educational power

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering is dedicated to training semiconductor engineers, who will be key to the near future. We conduct student experiments (device fabrication and evaluation) using a cleanroom, a rare resource nationwide, for all students. We aim to cultivate engineers proficient in semiconductors, which are fundamental to future applied technologies, and continue to produce graduates for a wide range of industries (conceptual diagram of advanced semiconductor education).

PICK UP

At the Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Osaka Institute of Technology of Technology, you can thoroughly study semiconductors.

All students can fabricate and evaluate semiconductor devices in a cleanroom.

Our student education program, which utilizes cleanrooms, has a 37-year track record and has produced many highly skilled individuals for the semiconductor industry.

Messages from graduates

What I learned in university is proving useful in my work at the company!

In the semiconductor device fabrication experiments in the cleanroom, I was able to learn not only the knowledge of the fabrication process but also the fabrication techniques by actually fabricating devices. This has become the foundation for understanding the processes of cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing. Currently, I am serving as the project leader for the development of cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment. I was able to participate in this project thanks to the knowledge and skills related to semiconductors that I acquired during my time at university, which started with student experiments. I feel that my understanding of the manufacturing process allowed me to propose various ideas and take on this development role.

I work in the Technology Development Section of the Technology Department at a semiconductor manufacturing equipment manufacturer (due to confidentiality agreements, I cannot disclose the company name or my name).
